Banks Ingoring Me

I have put in a claim with C&G for mortgage fees and Natwest for overdraft charges. The problem is they are both ignoring me. I sent both letters off and heard nothing so I did a second letter threatening court action (using the templates) and sent these recorded delivery. Still I heard nothing so I rang them both and they both said they have 6-8 weeks to sort it out. What do I do now?

The banks are allowed 8 weeks to respond to and deal with a customers complaint as per the guidelines laid down by the FSA. This is only relevant if you were to use the Financial Ombudsman as you would be required to exhaust the banks complaints procedure first.

As you are using the court route then there is no requirement to follow those timescales yourself. You need only show to the court that you have allowed ample time for them to respond to and deal with your claim. Follow the process laid out in the main article and timescales in the template letters. Your next step would be to proceed to court. Good luck :)

I rang the C&G and was told because I had three sub-accounts, I had origional mortgage plus borrowed twice on top which makes three apparantly, we should have been charged 3x50=150, but were only charged 90 so therefore I really owe them money.

Pffft. They will have the oppertunity to prove that in court when they disclose their actual costs. Which they wont. Dont worry about it, theyre just trying to put you off :)
