Richer Sounds Customer Service

Would just like to big up the CS at Richer Sounds.

I'd ordered a Blu Ray player that somehow got lost at DPD, a quick call to cs and with 15 minutes and a couple of phone calls to update me a replacement was on its way to me and it has just arrived.

My Christmas treat for myself as well

I have to agree. I emailed them about an amplified I was interested in just after Christmas and ordered it the same day Sunday 30th December - the parcel arrived Wednesday 2nd Jan 2013 - excellent service considering the New Year getting in the way.

I've just ordered a telly from them as my one from John Lewis broke down (12/12)and it got lost in their sysetem and would not be delivered for 7 more days so I hope that RS are as good as there reports.

I've also had good experience with RS, I also like the fact that their sales people have some idea of what they are on about. Prices are reasonably competitive as well, though I have no idea about their tax status :)

  • I've had nothing but good service from them. I bought an amp about 6-7 years ago and it stopped working about 2 weeks after the 1 year guarantee.

Emailed them and they couriered a replacement within 24 hours, collecting my old one at the same time.

    Excellent

If I'm in the market for "serious" electronics/hi-fi (by that I mean an item that it is important is the absolute best performance for the £ - because it's for me!) then I always check out Richer sounds. They stock brands that are the best in their field for this sort of equipment, rather than just "high-street" names and most importantly their staff seem to actually know about hi-fi themselves. I took the manuals for TV/video/sky box into the store as i wanted a hard disk recorder or a surround sound system that would connect to them all and their staff really took the time to tell me the options, their pros/cons and what they stocked which would work.

Also for a change, I think their breakdown cover is actually worth it. It's competitively priced and if you don't use it you get your money back (this was the case a few years a go anyway!)

The insurance package is still the same and the best insurance package about IMHO.

It costs 10% of the item you are buying and if not used after 5 years you get your premium back, unheard of in other circles and especially in comparison with currys\PC World etc and their insurance premiums are normally more with terrible cover hassle in return

Whilst I doubt they do it now, Mum had a freezer from Currys which had a 3 yr extra warrenty, the neat trick is remembering to do it within a month of the finishing date.
