I've still not got my annual for store collection,ordered the 7th,the 13th it said on it's way and still nothing.

Me too! Emailed them and was told they were due to be dispatched 'soon'...'soon'???? I asked them what this meant an never received a reply. Then yesterday I have a dispatch email saying 'your order's on it's way' but no indication when I should expect it instore, and all my store can say is 'we don't contact you from here, you have to wait til you have the email from WHSmith online' ... so I went today to check if they had my order, but no they have not, asked if they can ring me when it comes in, and NO they can not do that! So do I want to make a journey every day into town and back just on the off-chance they will have them ... No I WILL NOT!
So my message to you WHSmith is .... 'don't be surprised that if in future I order with free home delivery from Amazon at £1.99 for the same annuals!

I looked online & it says after you have had the order on it's way email it can take 3-7 working days to get there.At this time of year it's ridiculous.

Mine will be 7 working days on Monday,knowing this lot I will receive an email to say it's there Xmas Eve.:(

I'm not bothering if it is.

I also looked on-line and it says 'books' ordered before 2pm Tuesday should be at your pick-up store by Friday. However given that they took 3 working days to despatch my order I'll believe it when I see it. Oh and I wouldn't depend on an e-mail - of my last 4 orders I've had one e-mail to say it had arrived.

Thanks Claire, did not go for a sale item but as I was on the site looking I managed to find a Hardback book I have been after for a long time at a good price (not widely available unless you want used), threw in a pack of Christmas cards (for next year) to bring the price up to Free Home Delivery.

In no rush to receive as it is not a gift (1 - 2 weeks).

Oh right! Great that they have it but a bit lax on the customer service there though eh??? Oh well, guess I'll ring my store tomorrow and see what they have to say...but now my account is showing only 3 of the annuals as 'on their way' and one is now saying 'awaiting further stock' so I'm guessing they faffed around too long before picking my order an now Star Wars is OOS! Great effort WHSmith!
