Anyone know what Interpay is? Strange transaction

Good afternoon!
Found a transaction on my account which I do not know, will paste it below

21 Dec 12 INTERPAY BGC 30.00


I rung up Lloyds about this and they said all they know is it is Interpay and it was sent on the old online system.

Had a quick google and found nothing, it is a payment into my account but i cannot think what for!

Any help or advice would be great!

There are loads of references to Interpay on the web. Interpay is a web payment solution that many online shops use. Perhaps you returned/cancelled an online order? The shop might have your debit card number, and have credited it (via Interpay).

Don't spend it wisely. Not yet, certainly.
In real life, you don't get to collect £200 for a bank error in your favour.

If it wasn't meant for you then the bank may well take it back.

Thanks for the replys, I will rarely use this card for payments so will just check through for anything on that amount.

Found nothing! I do have a SO to ING Direct for £30, but if that was reversed I assume it would say that.

Ah right, may be you are on to something with ING! Interpay seems to also be the umbrella payments body for the Dutch banking sector, according to some document google found: http://www.bis.org/cpss/paysys/NetherlandsComp.pdf
