Been off sick in 2012, and not claimed benefit?

If you have not been in paid work, and your doctor knows you have been Ill, you may be able to claim ESA. (Employment and support allowance).
This can be, if your doctor will supply a backdated note backdated three months.
(If you have not been claiming another benefit like JSA, and have not been getting sick pay)
If you have been employed in 09/10, and 10/11, but not this year, you may need to claim before the new year, in order to be entitled to contribution based.
