I have just had £19.95 taken from my credit card account by Redsave.com, that I have not authorised. I got caught out by this company in January and February 2009 and suddenly they are getting into my account again. MBNA says I have to deal with them first but the only way to contact them is by an online form which is where you are directed if you ring the 0845 number. You cannot speak with anyone.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Another victim, ordered a car cleaning brush about £14. Paid by debit card free delivery, great. Didn't see the Redsavepass auto committement and luckily saw the £19.95 debit on my bank account soon after it was made. I have tried contacting them by E-mail, through their web site to customer services and by recorded mail delivery, all negative. I doubt if I shall ever get a reply or refund. At this time I am hopeful that Trading standards may take action but at the end of the day I missed the small print.I suspect they make more money from the pass then goods sold and I hope more people will become aware as this is I think a clever legal scam. Pass the word .Ask your bank for a new card which will have a different 16 digit number thus preventing any further deductions.:)0

You have got that wrong, with a continuous payment authority which is what this is they can continue to take money even if your card number changes.
You should be able to cancel the authority though your bank (they may say to contact Redsave but keep pushing them), if you just get them to cancel the card payments can still be taken.0 -
Write to the company, copying the letter to your bank cancelling the agreement. Any further transactions can be considered as unauthorised and subject to refund if your bank pays them. NB, if you have entered into a minimum term agreement (eg with a gym,) you will be liable for any outstanding payments.0

I have been caught out too. Have now asked to cancel and had an e mail to confirm so crossing my fingers no further payments will be taken. They had already taken 4 payments before I noticed. I am gutted but suppose its my own stupid fault.0
