Son's DLA early and less than usual

He normally gets his monthly DLA payment on the first Wednesday of the month, that came through as usual this month.
But I just checked my bank balance and he has had another payment today, but £100 less than usual. Has this happened to anyone else? I know that it's often early round Christmas, but it's quite a bit early here, and I don't understand why the payment is £294.00 instead of £392.00?

It works out at 3 x £98 so is a week short from the usual £392. I'm not sure why you have only received 3 weeks DLA but expect it is something to do with Christmas. Just keep an eye out for the missing £98.

Hi, no it has a year and a half to run. Thanks for doing the maths for me! I'll watch out for the rest
