Need Help to be prepared for the worst

Thanks for all your replies. I have contacted the buyer now asking him to make a formal complaint to the USPS about non delivery as asked for by the Royal Mail, surprise surprise, no contact from him now that he's had the case won, even though he's still in contact with the other cases that are unresolved.
I've messaged a few days ago giving until the 27th to reply, after that the Police will be given all information that I have and hope for the best.
I really have not got or dont think that there are any words in the english language that desribe how un-helpfull Ebay have been during this process. The last communication with them contained again, the receipt from the post office with tracking number, address etc and a letter from an Investigation initiated through a P58 form stating that their communication with USPS has resulted in confirmation of delivery but i might as well have sent them a blank email.
They have created a situation where I have sent with proof, an item to a buyer worth a lot of money to me, kept proof of sending, been told by 2 postal services that the item has been delivered and thus been left not having the ability to get the item back or the money through postal insurance :mad:
