pci-e graphix for dell 745

Its hard trying to research the best low profile graphics card with a TPD of 40w or less - it always seams to be a compromise, for example the HD 5450 uses only 19w, whereas the HD 5550/5570 are 40w but no low profile that I can find.

I have removed the floppy and changed the 2 x 1gb to 1 x 2gb RAM, so have reduced the draw a little.

Any suggestions on the best graphics with TPD of 40w or less, and low profile?

There may also be problems with the length of the card, unless you have a riser card to lift it clear of the CPU.

Yep - there's no point in a floppy these days.

Thank you for reminding me, however not a prob on the 745, can take pretty much any length, its the height that has to be considered.

Still looking for advice on the best low profile cards with a draw of 40W or less please..............
