Setting up Biz, but can't find Suppliers

Hi all,
Been looking at importing small electrical goods from china for some time, but despite weeks spent looking through the various directories on the internet, can't find any genuine leads.
Does anyone have any contacts with any Suppliers in China which are genuine, I don't want to be stung first time.
I've seen a few suppliers, but its difficult doing some background checking to see if they are respectable or any reviews on there authenticity.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Try contacting a local business link advisor (assumed you are based in England) - they often have access to this sort of information. Go via their website https://www.businesslink.org.uk.Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0

Or try the chinese embassy, they will have a trade department

So you've set up a business to sell really cheap things from china, but you cant find anyone who will sell you really cheap things from china?
I can see how that would be a major limiting factor for business growth.0
