Best place to purchase stepping stones

We need to create a walkway through our garden in order to preserve the grass. We assume the best way to go is with stepping stones. Can anyone recommend a good supplier of this type of thing or should we just check out our local builder's yard?

Old paving slabs are often offered on freecycle, your local shop's advert board or available via your local council.
You can of course buy brand new ones from any garden centre but I always think that old ones, re-laid, look softer and more mature and add to the garden rather than sticking out like a sore thumb until they have had time to weather a bit.0
