Universal Jobmatch - Mandatory from next year

Biggest fear i can see is privacy / cloning of ID - a LOT of fake jobs are still being posted, despite what DWP say., and applicants sometimes have no way of telling why their personal info (not just cv!) may end up, as the 'employers' often withhold their info, or hide behind shell companies...
Also, having jobs 'selected' for you by a total stranger (at JCP, others?), who may have no idea / interest in what your situation is, and then facing hefty sanctions if you dont apply, is just WRONG.
I can also see any 'rejected jobs' being counted against claimants.
I search and apply for plenty as it is. Whats next? Telling us what JSA can be spent on?Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -

What i am saying is that you can apply for jobs however you like, but dont be surprised if you are sanctioned, as you should be, for not doing as you are told0

I have applied for loads of jobs on the Job Centres site and 100% of employers there do not even bother to reply!
Seen the same job at the same co where I live advertised every few months for the last year yet they wont interview me and NMW or reply to my emails. We’ve had to remove your signature. so what you saying is that we should be sanctioned for not applying for a job that has no contact details, so when we hit the apply button we do not know if our CV is going to a legitimate employer or some scum to use for fraud?

Sorry but I don't really get the basis for your argument it's no different then using any of the other sites out there.0 -

[QUOTE
Jobmatch is designed to spy on claimants in order to find excuses to sanction people. There’s also the fact that it’s an incredibly badly-designed site and could very easily be used for identity theft.
Ujm is not designed to spy on people at all, like we have the time! Exactly how could your job search activity be used for identity theft?[/QUOTE]not activity, jobs like this if we dont apply we might get sanctioned if we do we might be a victim to id theft you plum https://jobsearch.direct.gov.uk/GetJob.aspx?JobID=588873&JobTitle=SMSTS+++IOSH+++NEBOSH+Trainer&rad=20&rad_units=miles&pp=25&sort=rv.dt.di&vw=b&re=134&setype=2&tjt=&where=&q=&AVSDM= how do we know if this is legitimate? we hit the apply button who get the CV? can you put your left testicle on the table to smacked with a lump hammer if this a fake job???? also these sanctions can be given by a computer program but that's no different from a job advisor they both have no soul
for an DWP employee your not really value for tax payers money are you?0 -
poor excuses for not wanting to use all means to apply for a job. Easy life on benefits coming to an end if you dont do as you are told.0
