Thanks, I better get on to the land lord.
In the meantime, do you think it's better having the the CH temp to high for a shorter time, or low for a longer time? I understand if it's difficult to say.
Thanks again.0 -

Set the CH on as low as temperature as is comfortable. If you are feeling the cold turn it up a little at a time until you find the best temperature for your house. Turn it off using timers (and/or down to it's minimum setting on the thermostat) when not needed when you are out of the house at work or asleep. Thanks, I better get on to the land lord.

That sounds like a lot for a 3 bed semi with a new boiler. I have a 6 bed, non uniform shape, large rooms and last year we were paying under £5 / day with a 15 year old boiler. I keep mine on 24 hours a day 20 during day, 18.5 overnight. Water on 6 hours a day.0

If you have set it to medium then it should be outputting 17.7kW of heat using 18.7kW of gas. Every hour it's on and heating it will cost 84p. If your house warms up quickly you could turn it down to its minimum setting so it stays on longer but uses less gas but more electricity. It's 28 he
The hot water should use 32.1kW of gas so if you have a 6 minute shower that will use 3.21kWh and at a rate of 4.5p/kWh will cost 14.5p.:footie:
