Rather confusing fleabay message

I just got a message congratulating me on winning an item with a postage value of £10.

It was an item of a type I've been buying for the last couple of weeks, but I was rather puzzled as I didn't think I was due to bid on anything with that much postage until Sunday.

Looking more closely I discovered that they were congratulating me for something I'd bought nine days ago and which had been delivered before the weekend just gone.

Total muppets!

tell me about it. how many people here get the bid confirmation email after the listing as ended? Seems to happen to me every time

I get that quite often as I use a sniper most of the time.

I've had messages a day after they should have been sent - possibly even two days, but Nine?

I'd blame ebay rather than the seller. Ebay seem to have problems quite often in sending messages and emails in a timely fashion!

Oh, I was definitely blaming ebay. It was from them that it originated.
