will need to replace my car next year. I've had mine for 13 years, bought it as new pre-registered. It's a Toyota Avensis GLS 5 door automatic petrol 2 litre model.
Want a similar or better spec in my next car but not brand new. The current Avensis range is more focused on diesel which I don't really fancy (sounding like a taxi, fuel more expensive).
Is there anything else I need to think about ?
So suggestions please for a good strong reliable car that will last me a few years
Thanks

What's your budget and how many miles do you drive per year?Miss_Havisham wrote: »The current Avensis range is more focused on diesel which I don't really fancy (sounding like a taxi, fuel more expensive).
Modern diesels sound little different to their petrol versions, they don't all sound like tractors like they used to. Although diesel is more expensive per litre it normally works out cheaper in the long run if you are covering alot of miles due to the increased mpg it gives.0 -
If your sticking to petrol. err nothing.
Just buy the new one. It wont be less equipped.
Tons of extra safety features and all the old optional extras are now fairly standard.
But it maybe a lot heavier so use a bit more fuel.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Current Avensis why look for anything else when you've had such good service from the last one, frugal 1.8 petrol and a decent auto box option if required.0
