Can someone give advice on how much income an unmarried couple are allowed to earn (when one of them is on esa) to qualify for housing benefits and council tax benefits? Also, when can they claim working tax credits?
Thanks

You can enter the information on the Turn2us online benefit calculator to calculate all benefits, including HB and WTC.
If you are a private sector tenant, find your bedroom entitlement and maximum LHA rate on your local council or Direct Gov website. Employment income may reduce this.
I don't know if/how the capital in the business may affect this but others may be able to confirm if this has any influence at all.
A couple with kids are required to work a minimum of 24 hours per week to qualify for WTC, with one of them working at least 16 of this.
A person without dependents or disabilities must work 30 hours per week to qualify for WTC.0
