    Hi everyone No 13 reporting:D

I have pm'ed TallGirl with my new figures so I thought I would post them on the thread as well.
I have only managed to reduce the mortgage by 288 pounds up to now,not alot but every little helps(I still think I'm at work lol).
It would have been more as I have been given my mortgage acc no and sort code so that I can pay off extra through my bank by bank transfer but on going to the bank to pay 150 last week I found out that it will cost me 24 pounds for the transfer,so instead I will be saving up a lump sum then writing a cheque.
Hopefully in a couple of months time I will be able to pay a 1000 lump sum as I waiting for a share certificate to come so that I can sell my sainsburys shares>

Will keep reporting back if I can pay anything off sooner(need a good week on ebay lol),good luck everyone.

Wow everyone's doing really well aren't they!
I'm still a little cheesed off by my news from the bs but will just have to swallow it and hammer down that mortgage. I sent off 69p the other day so the final payment in October 2013 stands at £11.13 at present.
This is because my last thing to clear will be my 0% loan from my Mum but any extra money I get I'm sticking on the mortgage so I will have all of her money for her quicker.

Hi everyone!! Welcome to all new people too!!

    No 43 reporting in...

    Mortgage as of 1st June 07 - £53,734.33

So £265.67 paid off in the last month :j A Bit of a slow start... hopefully I'll be able to pay a bit more each month when my salary goes up in Aug! Oh well every penny helps!!

Thanks to Sweepster for the idea to transfer over the pennies from transactions into an account to put towards the mortgage... have started doing this and its a good way of saving a wee bit with little effort!

Keep up the good work everyone!

Hi Taka,I'm having a slow start as well, but at least we are all trying.
I'm sure we will feel great when the 3 years is over and we are one step closer to being mortgage free.:j
I have a confession to make as well I have just bought the kids a wooden wendy house for 150 pounds, which could have gone towards the mortgage, but my 2 will love it and are always in the garden anyway so will get alot of use out of it, Please don't tell me off,I can't help it,I don't spend on myself just on the kids.
Do you think I could charge them rent(they are 7 ad 2) that way I have more money towards the mortgage lol

    PS AnW'sMum,love the bananas.

    Hi everyone!

Hello to all the newbies . . . the more the merrier as they say!

I've just got my figures in for May . . . managed to pay £952.89 off the mortgage which was a little short of the £1075 target but as we are waiting on nearly £300 of expenses from various places I don't think that's too bad!

Target for next month: £1122 to pay off! (May struggle as it's wedding anniversary, fathers day, OH's birthday etc but hey we can try!).

Well done to everyone for all the updates . . . we're on our way!

Well done Catowen and everyone else, particularly TYAE for helping out your GS! A very kind thing to do.:T :T

Catowen, that is a seriously good amount in one month.:T :T

Now, I opted to be a cheerleader and not to take part in the challenge for health reasons - but I'm pleased to say that I am making some progress healthwise, and still squirreling spare £££'s into my mortgage offset current account, so the balance is now £9,500 mortgage / £7,100 savings. Every month £330 (my lodger's rent payment) goes into the offset account, and £115 gets paid off the mortgage. Any spare cash in my RB of S current account at the end of each month is swept into the mortgage offset account too. And you can guess the destination for the £10.04 dividend cheque from Standard Life shares - a bonus for having a small stakeholder pension with them. Every little helps!

It will be great when TallGirl comes back from her hols and updates everyone's amounts - well done with your progress guys! Every £ off the mortgage is a great feeling!!:j :j
