I would deffo be pushing for pay up time - every day!
Might be time to remind them about the payment clause in your agreed contract with them ;)

At least you won't have such worries in the new role :)

    LM

They're paying on a 60 day payment clause and making sure that they use every day of those 60 days.

I worked 2 weeks in Jan and invoiced them on the 3rd March, so I should be receiving the money for those 2 weeks on Monday (just checked my accout and it's not there yet). I then have to wait until 3rd May for the money from Feb, 3rd June for money earned in March, and so on. Still, as long as it all arrives, that's fine. :)
Does that mean more time at home? In time for summer? That's my aim at the moment, as well as the MF bit (of course!).

Yep, I should be at home more, but initially I have to implement the system at their various offices so I'll be travelling for a while yet.

Eventually I'll be located permanently close to home and my travelling days will be pretty much over. Yay! :)

My update this quarter will have to be an approximate as my home computer (where my info on exact numbers is stored) can't be connected to the internet at the mo (firewall issues) and I keep forgetting to bring the info into work to post here. :wall: My lovely Dad is (hopefully  )going to fix it :T but that probably won't be until after this quarter's deadline!

At the beginning of march the exact numbers were £44910.96 to go so...
April's mortgage payment would take ~£100 off capital + ~£240 savings to go towards bathroom fund should take me to ~ £44,570ish I think????

Good luck with the new job DD! :D

As the forums wre down, thought I'd take the opportunity to go through my quidco list, and realisedI hadnt done jackpot joy. Resigned myself to losing the £10 to make the £15 introducers fee. Not only did I manage to keep my money, but in three card poker I got a royal straight, so am over £130 up, even before the bonus payout appears..:-)

I know I should caution against the evils of gambling, but this really cheered me up.

Did anyone else do anything MFW like during the down time?

I found a house I want to buy that's over £200,000 more than my current one.... So I've been doing the maths to work out how I can make it happen, and it's just about possible if I can sell my place (and mortgage-free-ness moves out 15 years or so).

If only the forum had been up instead! But it's a REALLY nice forever house.

Hi. I'm a bit confused... I've just been reading some documents for our mortgage (It's in OHs name) and it reads something like...'you may make extra payments any time and it will come off straight away, however, interest will still be charged until dec...' ??? so am I right in thinking I'm not really doing us any favours by making extra payments unless we do it end of November time?
    Any advice/comments greatly appreciated
    Thanks

I did this too! DH has always said he didn't want to stay in this house forever and I said I was happy here. Now I've found a bungalow with a mahoosive garden that's lush but he won't even look at it. Initially when I mentioned it to him he said to go and look at it but he's not interested now. It would mean doubling our mortgage at the very least. It would also cost about 60k to do it up. So I don't think it's going to happen. It's nice to dream though!

    Hi all
Got back from the Galapagos islands last week and it was the best holiday ever. I snorkelled with sharks, sea turtles, rays, iguanas, sealions and penguins and we saw lonesone george. I would recommend it to anyone and our ship was lovely (and full of millionaires/billionaires!).

Anyway we now owe £23029.98 which is a bit more than we should at this stage in the challenge - still doable though. We did bring $400 back with us so we'll change this back to £s and hopefully put this towards the mortgage too.
