I have to admit I've been feeling disheartened too recently. OH's "brilliant" new job isn't working out well, SW have been talking about moving the foster kids for some time now, the agency I foster for isn't keen on re-approving me cos I call a spade a spade and so the "professionals" involved are unhappy, Sassy, my car, needs 2 paint jobs for some damage done on holiday and by OH the other day yadayadayada. Consequently I've only managed 2 overpayments recently and the goal seems to be slipping further and further into impossible - if I felt more positive I'd say unlikely. Now my Great Aunt is dying in hospital 45 miles away and OH employer's unhappy about him taking 2 measly hours off to drive me there - as I was too upset to drive self. I NEED A HUG!  :cry:

Sorry to hear about your Great Aunt, 'Superfast _Gran'.
I find it amazing how some employers act sometimes. Your 'other half' should work for me... I have a member of staff who gets in late, leaves early because he has a young family, has regular couselling sessions for half a day as he has a few personal problems, and I let him get on with it. It means longer hours for me but needs must.

I hope your circumstances improve and good luck.

    hugs ((((superfast gran)))).

The next page to my sorry little saga is that I needed to renew my car insurance on the 4th.
I got my quote and was really happy with the price of prudential with £130 casgback via quidco.
I went to book it today and the cash back has dropped to £95!
So I've cost myself extra money- about £80 down on insurance and by getting the wrong s*dding tyre changed for the MOT.

AND I remembered that the mot had gone on my other car- so another £34. But the little darling breezed through it. She has proved herself as I was thinking about getting rid of her but she appears to be more fuel economical than my Aunties 1.1 Rover that I have at the moment.

At least I "Only" spent £48 on this weeks shopping.

These events are precisely why none of us promised to overpay by £xxx amount every month- we knew there would be ups and downs, but as long as we do our best, and don't let things get permanently in the way of knocking lumps out of our mortgages then we're ALL going to be in a stronger position at the end of MFi3:D

Superfast Gran- I'm sorry your Aunt is so ill- any way you could book into a Travelodge for the night?

It's not really practical as the foster kids need to go to school, and I also take my grandson to nursery every day - Mum has 2 younger ones at home and while she can get ready in plenty of time, she doesn't drive and it's just over a mile to walk and not on a bus route. So I do the Granny thang! But thanks for the suggestion anyway - all all the hugs. Thanks guys :kisses3:
