Natwest increasing account fees

anyone else received this letter. Silver Account going from £8pm to £10pm from February 2013

Its a rip off really, but basic account holders can only use Natwest cash machines, I feel like its blackmail!

A Select account costs nothing, and you can get cash at any ATM. You don't have to have any add-on like "Silver"

The Silver comes with mobile phone insurance, a lovefilm subscription (worth £5.99 a month alone), 5 HMV music downloads (if at 99p that's a £5 saving) european travel insurance and you get unlimited access to your credit report too with equifax.

Considering people pay £15pm for a credit report you can see what a bargain it is even with the increase. The reason the price has gone up is because the phone insurance has improved dramatically. No need to register anymore and a better level of cover.

Like the other person said, if you're just using it for cash machine access then apply for the credit scored current account.
