Hi all,
After a year long wait for the hearing, I finally had it and won!
The decision they (ATOS) made it in the first place was contrary to top medical professors in several hospitals, so it's somewhat unsurprising.
I've received a letter which states I have been placed in the "work-related activity group", which apparently means I will need to attend work focus interviews etc.
Is there a group that "doesn't" need to attend these things? I scored a total of 15 points.. 9 and and 6..
I'm wondering if the decision to put me in said group is the right one?
How frequent are these interviews?
Thanks,
Mike

only people in the support group are exempt from work focused interviews.
it can vary widely as to how frequent they are, and what they expect you to do.
mine started out monthly, but i havent had one for 3 months now and dont even have an appointment for another.
mine were just informal chats with the disability advisor, giving him the opportunity to see for himself what work i may be capable of doing in the future.
others ( usually with fairly short prognosis') can be mandated to attend the work programme.
you should look at the support group descriptors, and if you feel that you meet any of them ... you should appeal the decision to be placed in the WRAG0 -
Agreed Nannytone. From my very brief experience of the WCA it appears that people can and / or just accept WRAG. Support Group descriptors ought to be explored in every case.0

i havent even looked at the support group descriptors to be honest.
i want to be in the WRAG, because i want to work.

Can you only be in the support group if you hit any one of the 15 point descriptors? I'm sure I remember reading something about that before?
Is there any difference in the amount (£s) between the two?
Thanks for your replies!0 -
the support group descriptors are different from the WRAG ones.
to get WRAG, you need to score 15 points. after that is attained, you would need to meet any of the support group descriptors.
it is £5 a week more in the support group0 -

i'm sure the panel of the tribunal would have considdered both catagories not just WRAG to place you in unfortunatlely they couldnt find that support group descriptor to macth your disability.
if you think you were eligable, and think the decision is wrong there no going back unless you can prove there was error in law in the judgement, by appealing to have the case refured to upper tier tribunal, no error in law means no appeal = the judgement is upheld of the first decision.0
