If you want to buy a dog in rescue a pressie

If you want to buy a little gift for a dog in rescue, go to Amazon, enter Rochdale Dog Rescue in the search box and it will bring up a wish list for the dogs with the number of the item wished for and the number already received. Ive just bought a dog a bed on there but there are things like squeaky balls, kongs, bag of treats and so on on the list xx

I think its a great idea too. Somehow, it seems more practical than just sending the money (which Ive done anyway). Thanks everyone who has sent them something.

On a sad note, one of the lovely dogs who was in emergency boarding for months til a rescue place could be found went to a rescue a couple of weeks back but has now been pts. Apparently he bit someone. No one can understand it as he was a lovely kind boy and showed no aggression at all in the time he was boarding, waiting for a place. RIP boy xxx

Also a gorgeous little puppy, George, JRxborder terrier has come down with parvo, even though he was innoculated. He is very poorly, positive thoughts for him please everyone.

  • AWW, hope George gets well soon.

I don't get paid until tomorrow so will be buying a couple of doggy gifts in the morning, it's such a brilliant idea.

Ooh, just seen that the beds are now off the list, so that means all the beds needed have been donated, thats wonderful. xxx

He looks adorable, I really wish I could re home every poor furry out there, they really tug at the old heart strings.

On a serious and practical note, how do we know if the orders have been received ok by the rescue?

The bed I ordered has been dispatched and will apparently be there by January 2nd, but what if there is some hiccup with delivery and I don't know about it? I'd hate to end up paying for something that never arrived.

I expected I'm overthinking again but the thought is in my head now. :rotfl:

I went with some of the toys where none had been donated yet!

Poor wee souls .... really wish I could help more ...... particularly love Ollie.

Sending positive vibes to George for a speedy recovery.
