Anyone know what the rules are for how many & type of changes to hardware you can make before Vista has a hissy fit and says you have a different computer and therefore you need a new OS?
I'm building a new PC and am recycling a number of components like DVD rewriter & hard drive but intend to upgrade them later so I don;t want to find out I've got to buy a new version of Vista in order to do it

do not worry if it do's have a hissy fit just ring microsoft up and they will activate again just like xp put the automated thing do not reconise the vista activation code and it put you through to a person (it did with me),if you have changed your motherboard they will not activate it , changing components will not stop you activating it ,they now we change thing's from time to time and they allow you to do thatthere or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0
