    Hi snuggle69

This isn’t acceptable and I’m really sorry we’ve let you down.

This definitely needs to go to higher management now. Ask the lady owning the complaint to escalate this without further delay. They'll be able to take G4S to task about this failure and monitor until resolved.

With regard to payments due for missed appointments, it's £20 plus a further £20 if they don't automatically pay it to which they obviousy haven't, so £40 for each. A missed appointment is one where they either don't turn up at all or come with the wrong equipment. They never seem to pay this unless you ask so do make sure you get it.

    well well well......

Update time, following the last failed appt G4S were due to fit the meter between 8am and 10am this morning........surprise surprise they didnt appear!! I received a call from EON at 10.50 to say G4S had tried to contact me....they hadnt to say that the engineer couldnt make it today. I said that wasnt acceptable so they then agreed to send an engineer from another area who will now be here between 3pm and 8pm.....so another days lost wages due to failed appt. A very unhappy boss....And we will see if they even turn up.

Sick to death of this now
  • I had call fro EON tonight to say they were putting my DD up to £250 a month, this has happened 3 times, and when i have queried it say it was a mistake,
As i was with them a few years ago they said it was a mix up, from my previous account [although i didnt leave them owing anything] it was a mix up, then a reasonable amount was set, then got a letter saying it was being increased to £275 a month, another mistake?
I really think EON dont know what they are doing,
I switched back to EON in April, and was told was £86 a month would cover my energy bills, but then received a letter saying i was over £400 in arrears, when i wasnt even with them,
I am fed up with them,
If EON are trying to get arrears from 12 years ago,and it was their fault i dont think you should have to pay anything
  • By the way i have apparently used £400 in 8 weeks, which i find hard to believe
I am supposed to be on the age UK tarriff,
Does this amount sound out of proprtion to normal usge, in a 3 bed house but only use i bedroom
Had some company for a week in December, but still shocked me
I dont leave any heating on all night, and not all day continuosly
I am a pensioner, and paying that amount would take half my pension

One point I have picked up on, the water wouldnt make the meter record incorrect, just wouldnt record at all. If a third party builder had installed the meter ilegally / none standard eon can just request the grid cut the supply until it is bought upto standard.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
