bath tap sprayers?????

Not sure what the hell these are called but my bath taps are brass effect and they came with some plastic fitting where the water comes out of the tap. This makes the water a spray effect as such but im not sure if they are a filter type thing too. I know the hot water tap plastic fitting was always clean however the cold water one after a while had black deposits collecting and needed a good clean with a tooth brush.

The hot water one has long since been lost but would like to replace it if I could only find out what it was called.

Any ideas please

They would be called either a "flow straightener" or an "aerator"...

Sometimes the water companies give the filters free, as it saves on consumption. I know Thames/Sutton water did. HTH :)

How does that work then, 6" of water in the bath is 6" of water in the bath, irrelevant if it is hot or cold to the water company???
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

I suspect that Shays-mum may be thinking of the flow restrictors that can be placed in a shower hose to reduce the flow.

I think there has been a misinterpretation too.

Best saving is to go without a bath every now and then :rotfl:
