I've been a long time user of Localphone... over the years, the quality of the calls has been good, and the rates have been fair.

Most of my calls have been to India, and for this reason, their tarrifs are quite reasonable. However, I did come across a new calling card called "White" which seems to be ultra competitive.

Best of all with Localphone, they have offers that are bought about festive seasons (ie. free calling to the US on Thanksgiving, free calling to India on Diwali, etc) that is a nice touch.

Also, the local phone numbers are so convenient to use (less large numbers to remember).

My overall experience with Localphone has been positive, and hope they don't fall down too much!

Early in 2009, I used LocalPhone for few months and made £46 worth of calls. Mostly to India and Europe.
Unlike the offerings from Betamax/Delmont/Finarea, Localphone is a UK based company. I was never overcharged. I found the service reliable. Customer service is excellent.

But they did not keep up with the times and their rates became higher than others.
But I recently noticed that they have reduced their rates.
India land/mobile 1p incl VAT
France landline 0.5p, mobile 2.9p
Spain landline 1p, mobile 5.9p
UK land 0.5p, mobile 4.8p
China land / mobile FREE!
