I have a job interview!

After 8 weeks of the Jobcentre giving me a measly £28 a week income of which im left with about £5 a week after council tax, rent top up and electric, I have an interview with Vodafone!
Its a call centre advisor! making around £7 a hour, only thing im worried about is the 7am starts as its 20 miles away and bus fare is £7 a day and the bus arrives at station at 6.55am and its anothe 30 minutes walk to the building, but I hope the jobcentre can help me!
Well I havent got job yet, but I passed the first stage phone interview today, tommorow is a typing speed test and mock circumstances.

All the best with the interview.
Don't worry too much about the travel yet?
Once you've got the job ask around, post an email etc to find out if there's anyone else working the same hours as you and who drives - maybe you can get a lift.
For now though, concentrate on the interview.
Be positive!!

Best of luck.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

Vodaphone may have a lift share scheme operating for the call centre, worth asking?
If not, not sure how the Jobcentre can help you get there?
Nonetheless, very best of luck xGone ... or have I?0 -
It went well until the actual interview, i did the mock caller thing great, and the typing test I got 92%(only thing I was marked down on was I made 1 spelling misake as I wasnt paying attenion, raod for road) and I pressed the repeat button 5 times for the account number as it was really fast
The final stage was a interview and I spoke really fast as I was nervous and the final question they asked me was "when did you have great tenacity to go over odds to help customer" I couldnt think for like 3 minutes then I gave a messed up one where I got a phone call at 11.30pm from a 80 year old man demanding an engineer visit him within 30 minutes or he will sue the company and me personally and bankrupt me etc. and I had to calm him down and promise an engineer would come when he started work around 8am, and if he hadnt arrived by 10pm to call me personally back and I would arrange for a freebie
The interviewer kept saying "good good" I even said at one point "look im nervous and I have a cold right now, im sorry for stuttering" she told me its fine, its what I say thats important.
As for travel, luckily now the shifts are either 8am or 1pm starts as they are flexible, I could do 9.30am-9.30pm but that would be a bit of hassle, but I realised theres a zonecard bus pas, which varies from £10-£20 a week depending on which part of the county you go to, and I think the one where the interview was, its either £14 or £17, still better than train.
And besides it takes 40 minutes on bus, and it stops outside my door, and drops me off at door of job!
Cant get much better than that!
Fingers crossed I get it.0 -
