Help! Car back from repair after crash (cosmetic) so took it in for it's MOT. They replaced something and said it had no oil and so they put 2l in. Ty also said it was a little jumpy (wasn't before) and that it need the coil packs replacing at some point.
I drive it home (around the corner) and its reving and being very jumpy. I then and explain and they said it was probably where they ha to rev it hard and to get the coil packs done , so I booked it in for tomorrow.
Just took my daughter to school and it was a nightmare! It was over reving, the exhaust was smoky, the oil light was flashing, it was extremely jumpy and I didn't think it was going to make it back to the garage!
When I got there she sai oh why have u done to it! I said nothing it was fine before the mot!
They are looking at it now. Any opinions? Should I pay out for more stuff?

Cars breakdown. Did you check the oil yourself?
Not overfilled it have they? Ive known main dealers overfill the oil..
If the battery has been off or gone flat when it was repaired the ECU will have lost its fuelling settings.
It will take a few miles of varied driving for it to relearn the settings and to settle it down.
When was it serviced last? Plugs and leads ever been changed?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
It's hard to say whether or not its worth repairing without knowing the fault and value of the car. But it's unlikely having it mot'd has done anything to it - if that's what your implying.
Where was it hit during the accident?
Have you checked the oil level since it was topped up with 2l?0 -
Check the oil level and let us know what you find.0

You must have asked them to do more than an MOT?0

If the oil light is on, the car has a very serious imminent problem, do not drive it or start the engine, to the garage under tow only.Be happy...;)0
