I wasn't aware of this and have been charged quiet an amount on my transaction.
I booked an accommodation in euro using my lloyds american express cc and the charge is £23. That's a lot
anyway to waive this charge now?0 -

What 'Lloyds Amex' was it? Their 'Avios' doesn't charge for this, but 'Choice' does.
Was it ~£690 transaction?0 -
yes grumbler it was around a £700 transaction.
I think they charged me around 2.99%

Only the "new" Lloyds Avios cards have no foreign transaction fee, the ones with either a £24 or £140 (Premier) annual fee. If you've had the card for a few years it'll be the old card which has the 2.99% foreign transaction fee.0

I was unaware of this cut. I have never come it across it before...being mainly UK based.
There was no indication of this cut at the point of transaction.
It basically added another £80 to overall cost; that was in addition to an increased amount due to the exchange rate having fallen between transaction time and the merchant posting it to Mastercard.
In total just over £130 extra out of pocket.
The flesh-eating Shylocks never seem to end their scheming to suck as much blood out of the unsuspecting goyims as possible.
