advise re: editing

does anyone edit music? I need advise as to the best place to go on the web to learn and edit music

I do edit music, but it really depends on what level you're talking about. I mean, at the lower end you get products like Acid Pro, which is a sample-based tracker of sorts. You can use plugins for other packages with it, to make the most of your tracks and there are lots of sample CDs around to download / buy (on ebay).
Otherwise if you're talking about the pro end of the market, you're looking at Cubase VST / ProTools and other sound packages like Reason. These are for the more serious editor. To use these, for best results you'll need a midi keyboard too! If you DO go this way, it's more expensive but will allow for more flexibility in your editing. My advice is to get some high rated books off Amazon to learn about Cubase. Or indeed, even if you want to start smaller.
There are lots of support forums for Cubase if you do a search on google - and i'd expect lots of communities too.
