WTD:Accurate Car Valuation

This may be a regular question on this forum, if so I apologise.
Does anyone have a good site that provides accurate car valuations for selling privately ?
I am getting quite different results using the AA site and Parkers.

Parkers is the private buyers 'bible'. So if you price it well against the price parkers suggests then you should sell it quite quickly. What car have you got? make model year mileage?

The price I want to find is for selling.

I forgot to say it is for maximum gain for me when I sell and time is not an issue.

Just go to https://www.vauxhall.co.uk and click on the owners tab, and follow the link to value your car.

But the BEST way & gets you CURRENT real life values....

Check the ads in local paper,(or Autotrader if you must) ring up people selling similar car to you, if they've sold it, ask how much they got.

No need to pretend to be interested in buying, just tell them why you want to know, most people are helpfull. Also if they've not sold it, ask how many calls/weeks advertised/original price dropped from.

You'll be surprised!!

Thanks to everyone that posted.
I will take all the advice on board, and try and come about a realistic valuation.
Interesting point is that leather doesn't figure as adding any value on any of the valuations.

The best thing to do is look on autotrader website and find similar cars to yours and see what kind of prices are being asked for them. Just remember, trade prices are always a bit higher than private.
