Being impatient I would like to list an item now which FIL is bringing up on Thursday so I know for sure it will be arriving.
Was going to do a buy it now. Is this a bit naughty??? I can post it by lunchtime Thursday. I know it may not sell that quick but if I put it on tonight and it does, what happens then?????
I know I am like at child at times!!!

I'd probably wait until I had the item with me before I listed it. Won't you want to take pictures?-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

If you put on your listing that the earliest that you can post is thursday, I don't see why not! If it hasn't sold by then, you can always edit that bit out.
On the other hand though, what if it gets broken in transit etc?:j30/7/10:j

No it really will not get broken and I will be using a picture from a site. Then again I suppose it could go up in flames!!!
Oh I don't like waiting(stamps feet)!!!!0 -

Probably not a good idea. It's much better to take your own photo of the item.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

A stock photo can put people off, it is a favoured move of a scammer who don't of course have the item available. You can get way with a stock photo only is you have huge feedback for selling the same high end goods.
Selling one day and not posting until the third working day is perfectly acceptable, a seller has up to 7 days to post to be covered by paypal protection anyway. Most buyers are happy to wait up to a week for their goods anyway, any longer though and you will have problems.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
