Lead not strong enough. Not your fault.

Nothing for you to feel guilty about Op - the problem there was a weak lead.

It's actually an issue that bugs the crap out of me as a giant breed owner - there seems to be a move to design over substance with a lot of dog accessories and if you have a strong dog many of them simply aren't fit for purpose. I've had to have a lot of my accessories hand-made by leather workers to get both size/strength and when it comes to dog leads I use a horse lead rope with a bowline tied in it.

Thing is, it wasn't a large breed dog, it was whippet.

Oh well, I do hope they are both OK.

Did meet a few dogs this morning all with illuminated collars, so either the pets are starting to get in to the festive spirit around here or people are catching on to trying to be a bit more visible!
