Nationwide or Post Office

in Credit cards
Hello, I've just been stung with the Morgan Stanley credit card, which I am in the process of cancelling.
Anyway going to America for 3 wks in July and want to get a cheap one for overseas spending.
Not sure which of the 2 is best, ie which is likely to honour the 0% loading etc for longest. Also I currently earn close to the threshold for the Post Office platinum card but not enough for the nationwide platinum if I add about 500quid to my salary (which I will achieve through overtime etc).
Considering this, which card should I go for and should I inflate my salary to include overtime?
Thanks for the help.

You say honour the loading but i am pretty sure that nationwide are not going to get rid of this soon as this is on of there main selling points and in my experience i have had my debit and credit card with nationwide for 3 years and they still do not charge for overseas transactions. I have also had no problems using the card and think there customer service is quite good others may argue. Instead of the nationwide gold card could you not go for there comic relief card as this will offer the same overseas bennefits0

Other than the colour, I wonder what the advantage of a "gold" Nationwide card has over its "classic" version. I don't see the need to "inflate" your salary, unless overtime is guaranteed.
PO card is Mastercard, NW is Visa. Is there much difference on places accepted in the USA?
PO's APR is lower. Similar 0% on purchases offer.
NW's BT period is longer.
Are any of these facts of interest to your likely use of the card?0 -

I've heard a variety of stories. Some say Mastercard is better others Visa. I really don't think there is any difference to be honest with you when using it in the USA. Maybe take one of each just in case as theres always the possibility of a credit card being declined in a foreign country even if you have informed them before hand.0
