Sending in ESA50

Hi all, I'm hoping for a bit of advice. I received an ESA50 3 weeks ago, filled it out and sent it in with medical evidence on 8/12/12. On the 15/12/12 I recieved a letter from Atos that they hadn't received anything. I then sent a photocopy of the forms and evidence in on 15/12/12. The deadline for receipt of form is 21/12/12.

I sent both letters first class recorded delivery but it looks like the second letter still hasn't been delivered. What do I do now? I've got severe mental health problems and the worry of this is driving me crazy. Anyone?

Royal Mail Recorded Delivery doesn't always update.

Quickest and easiest way to sort this is to ring ATOS and see if they have gotten it.

Chances also are that the first lot made it there but it crossed with the ATOS computer sending out an automatic letter.

If the form is not due back until 21/12, then this is a standard letter reminding you to return the form. You can ring ATOS on 0800 2888 777 or 0113 230 9175 to confirm delivery of the original form.

as scarlet says its a reminder letter,standard issue i got one and just ignored it as i hadnt returned my esa50 form as it wasnt due until 21st dec

The shocker is that I posted it first class recorded on the 8th and it took six days to be delivered - it didn't arrive till the 14th.

I would advise... now that you have confirmation they received your ESA50... that every perhaps 2 weeks you email ATOS to find out progress until either they say they've closed their file or you get invited for medical. If they close their file or after the medical you can then request from the DWP a copy of the ESA85A ATOS report or ESA85 ATOS medical report as appropriate. That document will likely dictate the DWP decision that could take many weeks or several months to be administratively dealt with.
