I'm in a 3 bed semi with 4 people, electric oven, tumble dryer, a TV and laptop each and, despite offsetting with energy saving bulbs, shouting at the kids etc, my usage is similar, or even a bit higher than yours. So it could be correct, unfortunately!

There are things that can be done to help reduce usage. Do you for instance leave TV's and PC's on all the time? If yes that till be part of the problem. Switching all the TV's off their standby stance would be a great help. turning off games consuls/PC's if not needed. Only plug in mobile chargers when actually needed. Trying not to use emmersion heaters for water. Use energy saving bulbs if you do not already do so. Ours is much higher and in the region of 6.2k/kwh's per year according to latest forecast, but then I am on Stand tariff and have to pay standing charge too. My daughter and OH tend to leave their PC's on - he downloads overnight and hers is a little tricky if you switch it off. We also use what is called a standby remote socket that can switch off TV's and all the associated boxes linked in to it in one click of the button. Got mine off Ebay - lloytron were name of make at the time. But there are others. We now switch lights off when not needed and it has helped bring costs down quite a lot over past year.
