switching bills to next of kin

Hello
My dad passed away recently and I am helping my mum with her finances.
All the bills were in my dad's name.
I would obviously like to have the best deals possible for gas, electric, (currently British Gas) etc.
Virgin Media provided TV, Broadband, house phone and mobile phone (mobile always used by my mum even though it was in my dad's name).
What I would like to know is should she just stick with the current suppliers and account numbers and simply switch names,
or cancel and set up new accounts with any new customer offers ?

You need to check each suplliers rules.
some may have a new tie in with change of name some not so tou can change and review later.
Definately review VM check the retentions threads on here and on Avforums there is always room for a deal with VM, also review the pckage to see if it is suitable.

Another one to watch out for is the winter fuel allowances.
