Tenants sent for emergency plumber - but im covered by Brit Gass

I have a contract with British Gas Homecare on my rented property. I have told the property agency and tenants that they are covered by them and supplied the number to call in the event of an emergency. As far as I am aware I have done all I could.
Unfortunately about a month ago the boiler at the rental property stopped working, the tenants panicked and called the property agency which I hired to sort thing out, as this all happened outside of their opening hours, the tenants were advised to contact an emergency plumber, so they did.
Now the bill has now been passed onto myself, all £110 of it,as the tenants feel it is not their responsibility. I feel that it is both the property agency and tenants are both at fault.
Why should I pay when I informed both parties I had cover with British Gas and supplied the number to call.
I know I am responsible for repairs, but surely I have done all I could do.
cheers

I would say the onus is on the agency
the tenant contacted the agency and did as instructed0 -

Advised by who?0 -
You employ ana agent to manage the property.
Your tenants sensibly called your agent with a problem.
The agent told them what to do (call plumber).
They followed the instruction.
The fault lies with the agent. Make the agent pay the bill (good luck with that fight though....)0 -
has the problem been fixed properly?Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0
