Morning All, well I got distracted by Sci Fi TV last night so not much done. Still have the inventory to do but beds are stripped and bedding waiting to be washed.
I really need to organised lunches for the next couple of weeks so going to do that on my way home from work tonight. Going to get some Tes*o value choc mousse as they are a bargain at 19p for 4 and they taste just as good as more expensive ones (well, to my untrained pallate they do)!!0 -

Morning guys :j:j (this is me jumping up and down getting ready for the 2nd half of the year lol)
I had my Tesco order delivered the other day and as ever there was a substitute. I ordered Daz flowery scent somat or other but they didn't have any so sent me the original only they sent 2 boxes :T a little result but I was really happy 2 for the price of 1 and I don't really care what the washing smells like as long as it's clean
OK I've been working out how much I want to spend on food over the next 6 months. I'm working on £4.3 a day for 175 days which takes me to payday in December. This should be plenty and there will be an extra £20 for emergencies each month if needed. I'll tuck this safely out of the way so I don't spend it. The £4.3 doesn't include breakfasts during the week for the boys as they go to a free breakfast club, neither does it include their lunches as I pay for those weekly @£22.50 :mad:They love school dinners!
I wish I knew where the Gov got their figures from for Child Benefit rates because they don't match up against the true cost of bringing up children in reality. They should invest a bit more into the future workforce I think but as with all things it comes down to budgets at the end of the day I suppose.
Hope everyone else has glorious sunshineKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
Hi
We have to cut right back on everything as my OH is off sick with his back. Weve got enough food in the freezer and cupboards for at least 2 weeks. May need to buy milk veg and fruit. Im going to read back through all the pages to see what can also help us.. £64 a week sick pay!! Its a joke isn't it?? Grrrr . No placement yet so no wages coming in from Fostering. Everything against us at the moment but we will survive! Im making cards and Christmas boxes etc and OH is making toys on his lathe ( He is ok standing up for a short time)CC1 1932.43

Wow pixie is that all the money you have coming in? How long will this be for?
You could also try the OS board as there's threads on there about meals on a budget or there's the "A Girl Called Jack" website - she has cheap meal ideas.
Wishing you the best of luckKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -

At the moment we have the sick pay. Low care DLA for both of us which is about £82 a month. Child Benefits £20.30 a week. Oh pension that we had to take out a few years back to help pay mortgage which is £33 a month. and I think that's about it!!
OH was signed off last Friday for another week. He is a carpenter/maintenance so we have to make sure he is 100% before he goes back to work. He has been off for 3 weeks so far. I will check out the links thanksCC1 1932.43
