what about Quebecs? it's a Boutique in the centre - if you book direct it's very expensive but book with hotels.com and it will be about £100 per night for two

Don't bother with the Crowne Plaza. Location 10/10 rooms 1/10

We stayed a couple of weeks ago. You can get off the train and walk to the hotel which is great. But the rooms are soooo badly in need to refurbishment. Well ours was anyway. We complained and got no where.
  • 42 The Calls is highly regarded, and I've heard good things about the Malmaison as well.

Try the Metropolitan one, very nice and in great location, only 3 mins away from the station and high street. It's an oldish hotel with loads of charm, they have done the refurbishment, room is not huge but lovely.

i'v stopped in the marriot in leeds a while back. It cost £50 and it had a swimming pool. It's just across from the main shopping strip.

(plus theres a mcdonald's across the road so you can ditch the hotal breakfast on the morning!!)

Etap (I think it's called?) rooms £29 a night I think. Near leeds bus station. Short walk from leeds centre and train station. Although depending on walking route the bit of leeds centre could be considered a little rough. (Druggie needle centre, Big Issue office.) Walk along the calls and you shouldn't run into too much trouble.
  • Sorry would have to disagree about the Crowne Plaza.

Stayed there 4 times now and every room has been excellent.

Nice Health Centre facilities and restaurant. 10 min walk from centre.
