Colchester Zoo and Legoland

Hi, We've got some Tesco days out vouchers to use and wondered whether anyone can tell us if Colchester Zoo is a good day out for a four year old. Are there other things to do apart from the animal side of things?

Also, we have vouchers for Legoland, is it very busy there on weekdays at this time of year?
Many thanks
Kerry

Watch out for the hills at Colchester Zoo, a nightmare if you have a buggy.

Colchester Zoo is wicked! My DD has a 2 yr pass and has been an avid member for a few years now. We go normally each school holiday as its a great few hrs out.

I am in a wheelchair and there are a few bits I cant get too because of the steep walkways but a buggy should be fine.

The restaurant does a lovely breakfast for about £3, lovely baked spuds for £3.50 and kids meals for £2.50....all excellent value. We normally take a picnic though and a flask as there are some lovely places to sit and eat.
