Forgot to mention Durdle Door which is a natural stone arch and you have probably seen pictures of it. It is quite a walk down from the caravan site but there is also quite a good beach there which because of the cliffs is reasonably sheltered and as you are going in Sept might be a good choice. You can also walk from Lulworth cove on the coast path just head West.

    I live in Poole.

Have a walk in Poole Park (I was there this morning with the dog, it was lovely), feed the ducks and have a ride on the miniature railway. There is also a closed off play area designed for little ones by the Swan Lake cafe.

as the children will be back at school, the beaches may be a little quieter (depends onthe weather!)

Get the chain ferry from Sanbanks over the harbour and youare then close to Swanage

Hop on a pleasure boat onthe quay and visit Brownsea Island or take a tour round the harbour.

Have a walk along Baiter and Whitecliff which is along the water's edge past the Quay area.

Farmer Palmers just on the edge of Poole.

Monkey World near Wareham if you want a day out.
