Creda storage heater stopped working!

Hi, here are the details:
Creda storage heater model 79161, on economy 7.

I have two heaters one is working fine an the one has stopped working. I assume the economy 7 is fine as the other heater is working ok.

I have checked main fuses they seem to be fine, I have wired the heater into the mains via a plug and he heater doesn't get hot. Checked the cable with a voltage checker (glows red) and there's a supply to the heater. I took the front off and the fusible link seems ok! The thermostat makes a click sound when I twist it too. But I don't know what else to do. Any help would be greatly received.

Many thanks

Im affraid voltage checkers are not the best test instrument you really need a voltmeter to check the voltage. But you could use the voltage checker to follow the live side of the circuit from the main connector through the fuseable link, thermostat and element and find where it stops glowing.
If you change the fuse for one you know works and the heater still does not work the usual thing to go on storage heaters is the thermal fuse or thermister if it has one. They look like a silver resister and will be connected in series somewhere between the main connector and the element. But you say it has a fuseable link instead. Other than that the thermostat is all there is appart from the the element. The other thing could be a burnt or bad connection.
Good luck and dont forget to isolate before touching components.
