Firstly, I wasn't sure where to post this, but this board seemed most likely.
Secondly, on to my query. I have a seperate hi-fi system which is:
Kef Q5 speakers;
Denon Integrated Amp PMA-201SA;
Denon DCD-201SA Cd player.
Is there a gizmo (preferably made by Denon, or other quality brand) that will allow me to wirelessly stream music from Youtube or spotify et al, which will play through my stereo system?
And if there is, can any of you people point me to the correct gizmo.
Thank you

You can buy a Bluetooth receiver for your Hi-Fi. This will enable you to play your audio from your mobile phone or laptop via a bluetooth dongle, directly to your Hi-Fi.
They are relatively cheap to buy and do a good job.

Yes it's possible. Cambridge make the hifi buff's favourite, I believe.
Though it's a bit pricey if all you're streaming is 128k mp3s.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -

Though it's a bit pricey if all you're streaming is 128k mp3s.Do you know what the exact product is so I could google it? And I wanted to stream because I can't get the stuff on youtube in album format. I like listening to mixes of dj's but can't get CD's, so I was looking for a way around it.
Would my amp not make the mp3's better quality? Thanks for your help WC

how about a radio transmitter usually powered by 2 aa batteries.
I use one to listen to my PC music on a shower radio in the bathroom.
Can also pick up the music downstairs aswell.

Sorry this might be a stupid question, if I did that, I'd need to set up my radio wouldn't I and then play it through the radio?

You could give this a try: http://www.naimaudio.com/hifi-products/naimuniti
It's a step up from a Denon though.0 -

Will have to give that one a miss at £2700 :eek: I think it must be several giant leaps above Denon?I do like the concept of AIO though!

Sonos are well-known for their wireless music systems. I'm not exactly sure of the details, but there's a fair bit of info on their website: http://www.sonos.com/
If the stereo is near the PC, you could just connect an output from the soundcard to an auxillary input on the stereo (but I'm sure you know that).
If the stereo is quite far away... would it be worth getting a cheap laptop and connecting that directly to the stereo? I know audio quality varies quite a bit on laptops (the compact electronics aren't always shielded particularly well), but if you're only listening to low-quality audio like MP3s and YouTube videos it's probably not a big deal...0 -
If you are talking hifi (as in high fidelity), forget bluetooth or radio. Sonos, Slim Devices (Logitech), Sonos, Pioneer, Naim, Cyrus and Linn all do systems, ranging from £100 or so to several thousand.There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

I think I might just go to richer sounds tomorrow; I need to get some bits from town anyway.
Thank you for your help esuhl, Fifer
