Ebay Reserve Selling

I'm new to ebay and I've just heard of setting a reserve selling price. I have looked on the relisting page of ebay but I don't see any button that would allow me to do this.
I had an item that's worth £30 sell for 99p:eek: Well that was my first listing, and I haven't had anything as bad as that since, by raising the initial bid price so its a couple of pound instead of 99p. I added buy it now too though nobody used it.

I think the minimum reserve is £50.
Why not just start it at a higher price, the minimum you're willing to sell for?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Personally, I've found reserve prices are counter-productive:
Firstly, the seller has to pay reserve price fees whether the item sells or not.
Secondly, many bidders are put off by listings with reserve prices, as it feels as though the seller is setting an artificially high price."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

If you want around £30 for something then start it at £29.99 as at least it can't sell for 99p. Fees will be cheaper than using a reserveI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
