How to remove glued on cornices?

Long story but a large DIY store are dealing with my complaint and they offered the services of a kitchen installer.
They came today. They have done a hash job. The plinths in one section are glued together. They have chipped them also.
They have however made one big mistake - they glued the pelmets on - wonky! We need to remove them to do it right - is it possible to do this?

If we used a chisel wouldn't it damage the units though? There is a wall 800mm and a wall 300mm where the dodgy pelmet is. They are bog standard chipboard units.0

Sorry presumed you meant the plaster cornices instead of the ones on the top of your chipboard units. All mine are glued and then screwed onto the top and bottom of the units, I would get the suppliers to come back and do the job correctly as the only way to get them off is usually by brute strength which will almost certainly damage your new units.0
