downstairs toilet

Hi more from me im afraid!!

Long story!

Might start a thread this old house!!

We were hoping to put an en suite in the 3 bed semi weve just bought but after reading on here im more tempted now with a downstairs toilet and keeping the space for cupboards.

The problem is our soil pipe.

Its internal and we have no man hole cover on the property. Its every other one.

We were looking at going around the side and front of the house but i think that a downsatairs toilet is going to be easier but not much!

I was hoping to dig under the florr (concrete floors) across the hall and then down to the soil pipe which is in the corner of the kitchen.

Will i need building regs for this etc. (They won't know what i dont' tell them????)

thanks,

Yes you will need building regs as it's a new bit of soil pipe and underground connection.
I also don't quite understand what you are doing, as cutting out a concrete floor for a 110mm soil pipe won't leave much concrete floor.

You also pay more for your water rates. My Dad has had downstairs loo converted into shower/basin room.

He pays more for his water rates (for 2nd toilet) even though it is no longer a toilet??
