crack in ceiling

had loft insulation fitted and same day crack(cant get coin thru) appeared on celing- is this just poor plastering or something wrong with roof?- (as im wondering if i did a loft conversion in future that this would make it structually difficult?)

The ceiling will be plasterboard sheets , these sheets are joined with a scrim/tape, it's the tape that's cracked.
The join would have to be re-taped and plastered over.
The property will still be structually sound.0 -
Had exactly the same problem after my loft was boarded out, ended up with cracks running along each joist. Bad cracks i filled with decorators caulk, then painted over with some "crack filling paint" looks ok now.0
