crack in ceiling

had loft insulation fitted and same day crack(cant get coin thru) appeared on celing- is this just poor plastering or something wrong with roof?- (as im wondering if i did a loft conversion in future that this would make it structually difficult?)
thx

Comments

  • The ceiling will be plasterboard sheets , these sheets are joined with a scrim/tape, it's the tape that's cracked.
The join would have to be re-taped and plastered over.
The property will still be structually sound.

Had exactly the same problem after my loft was boarded out, ended up with cracks running along each joist. Bad cracks i filled with decorators caulk, then painted over with some "crack filling paint" looks ok now.
