Hi guys, 1 st post and all that.
Im looking for a bit of advice on this plasma. I've tried reading some of the information on this and other a like but to be honest its mostly gobble-de-gook to me. I've been advised of this one as including the delivery it maxes out my budget.

Ah, Panasonic's new models are our then. I have the TH42PX60 and it is absolutely awesome. There is not a single thing that I can say bad about it. Here's a review of the PX70:

Not much different to the PX60 but will now doubt be even better. Well it has a whole new panel so maybe it is a lot better. Don't worry about it not being 1080p capable because you will only see the benefits of 1080p in screens that are 50"'s and above. 720p is perfect for 42" screens.

best way to check is to look at the model number,
PED = pediatal
CAB = Cabinate
WALL or WAL = wall mount0 -

It's got a 1080p Digital Processing Chip Set and a 1080p Digital Re-mastering Processor, so it is 1080p capable, not true 1080p, but it can process a 1080p signal.0 -
Bought mine from John Lewis and price matched it against Richer Sounds.
5 year warranty from John Lewis is free. For details of price matching look on the AV Forums, there's a thread in the Plasma sectio devoted to this.
p.s. very nice picture:)0 -
You could also look at Dixons.co.uk as they have this tv for £886 inc delivery, comes with the table top stand. There is also a £10 off voucher kicking about and if you have an Egg credit card you can get 5% cash back as well.0
