DLA Appeal

i recently had my daughters dla decision and they have lowered the rate, i asked them to re consider and they still decided the lower rate was ok so now i'm appealing that and asking to go to a tribunal, i have been told that they can look at the information one final time before going to the appeal and maybe change it, i have sent in more medical information so i'm hoping they may do this but just out of curiosity has anyone else had the decision changed after the reconsideration but before the appeal?

On my eldest's sons first claim we were given a flat no, asked for reconsideration and same decision. Sent all paperwork in for appeal, kept getting letters saying waiting for date and then about 7 months later a letter saying they have changed their minds and he was entitled. So yes it can change before appeal. I was told that before the appeal happens another decision maker looks through everything.

If the supporting evidence is good and addresses the relevant issues I regularly see the decision revised before tribunal. Good Luck

I was on HRM LRC did the new forms then it was just HRM so i appealed stated my case on the phone and they re-instated LRC
